ROCHESTER --A memorial service for Diane Abrahamson, 63, of Rochester, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Rochester Covenant Church, the Rev. Gary Downing officiating. Her body was donated to Mayo Foundation.

Mrs. Abrahamson died Saturday (Sept. 23, 2006) in Seasons Hospice from pancreatic cancer. Diane Forsberg was born Aug. 22, 1943, in Frederic, Wis. She graduated from Unity High School in Wisconsin and worked for Northwest Airlines and two brokerage firms in Minneapolis until her marriage in 1974 to Douglas Abrahamson when she moved to Rochester. She was active in the Methodist Hospital Auxiliary and worked at Methodist. She also worked for Manpower at IBM and most recently was employed by the Southeast Minnesota Chapter of the Red Cross.

Surviving is her husband. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother.

Friends may call for one hour before the service at the church.

The family prefers memorials to the Southeast Minnesota Chapter of the Red Cross or to Mayo Clinic for pancreatic cancer research.
